You groaned. When you had previously thought of your first week of summer, it DID NOT involve sitting on a crowded, noisy, hot school bus on your way to some lame summer camp. I mean sure, your friends were going to be there and you would be doing things like swimming and campfires, but you had wanted to go to the beach rather than stupid arts and crafts. And people like Gilbert, Antonio and Francis were going as well, which meant they would most likely raid the girl's cabins. Your mom had decided to sign you up when she heard from your friend Ludwings oldest brother Rodriech that kids from your school were going. I guess she thought it would be a good bonding thing or something. So there you were, sitting in the middle of the bus next to your friend Arthur. You had your earbuds in and your face was pressed against the window. 'Just let this week go by fast' you thought to yourself as you listened to "Life is a Highway" by Rascal Flatts.

~3 Hours Later~
Finally you had arrived. The camp was in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forest and a lake. The name of the camp: Camp Havesomefun. As soon as the bus passed the sign, everyone burst out with laughter. Really, who calls a camp Camp Havesomefun? Talk about cheesy. "Dude, will this be like in Camp Rock?" asked Alfred, looking out the window. "No Al, it'll be like Friday the 13th" you said, grinning as he went pale. You all walked out of the bus, stretching and yawning. "Welcome everyone!" said a woman, about 25 years old. She looked like the typical female camp worker: hair in a ponytail, wearing a camp shirt and had a big cheesy grin on her face. It was like they were trying to make this summer camp look like it was from some pre-teen's musical movie. "Now girls follow me and boys go with Jerry! You have the rest of the afternoon to set up your cabins and then it's dinner time!" she said, her voice so preppy and happy you wanted to punch her.

There wasn't that many girls, so only three cabins were used. "Can we use the other cabins to put our luggage in?" asked your friend Wy, looking peeved at the whole camp thing as well. Thank god she said yes. The cabin would be crowded as it is. You unpacked your stuff and claimed one of the top bunks. In your cabin was Katyusha, Natalia, Wy, Elizabeta and Lili. "If Gilbert dares step foot in here, I brought this" said Liz, pulling a frying pan out of her bag. You laughed. Typical Elizabeta, bringing a weapon into camp. You spent the rest of the afternoon chilling and unpacking. You were surprised and pleased when you discovered that the camp had free wi-fi, so you were on the internet for a good portion of your time. After a little while, there was a knock at your door. "Come on ladies, time to go to the dining hall for dinner!" cried the cheerful voice of the counselor.

All of you met up with the guys and walked down to the dining hall. From what the others were saying, it sounded like you were having a campfire tonight and playing a huge game of Truth or Dare. You walked into the dining hall and sat at a table with Alfred, Arthur, Ivan, Yao, Francis and another boy. He looked like Alfred but with longer hair that had a curl at the front. He looked up at you, blushing. "Hi" you said, sitting beside him. He nodded hello at you, not meeting your eyes. You smiled. 'He's cute' you thought. "Dude, this is Matthew, my bro! I know right, I got all the looks" said Alfred in his 'Hero Voice'. "I doubt that" you said, rolling your eyes, making Matthew blush more and Alfred start spluttering. You began eating the chicken and potatoes that were served, side glancing at the cute Matthew every now and then. "Are you guys coming down to the fire pit? We're playing truth or dare, aru" Yao asked you. You nodded, looking at Matthew. He looked hesitant. "Come on Matthew" you said smiling at him. "It can't be anything TOO bad". He gulped but after a few seconds, he nodded.

You and Matthew walked together behind the rest of them. "How come I've never met you before?" you asked, looking at him. He was wearing a red t-shirt with a white maple leaf on it and black cut-off shorts. "Um, well, I'm the younger brother and um, Alfred had a big shadow to live in" he said, smiling sadly. You felt sadness inside your heart. You could only imagine. Alfred could be funny, but he was loud, sometimes rude and always had to be 'the hero'. You imagined that Matthew wouldn't have a lot of opportunities to talk much. "Well, I think you're easier to talk to than him" you said, smiling at him. It was true. Alfred would listen for the most part, but he didn't really do anything. Matthew blushed again and you could tell that he was definatly shy.

You sat in between Matthew and Arthur around the camp fire. After singing "The Campfire Song Song" from Spongebob, the games began. "Okay, Kiku, thruth or dare dude?" asked Alfred, getting it started. "Dare" said Kiku, not looking at all intimidated. "Okay. I dare you to...hug someone" said Alfred, knowing that Kiku had a thing about personal space. Kiku froze while the rest of you laughed and "ohhh"ed. Kiku stood up and walked towards you, hugging you stiffly and awkwardly. You laughed and hugged him back. "Okay, _____. Truth or dare?" asked Kiku. "Dare" you said, crossing your arms across your chest. You were NOT scared of something Kiku would come up with. "Okay. I dare you to kiss Matthew on the rips" he said. "OH SNAP!" yelled Alfred and everyone grinned at you.

You looked at Matthew. You personally had no problem kissing the cute, hot, shy Matthew, but you didn't want to be making him uncomfortable. He blushed but looked back at you. You leaned forward and pressed your lips to his, feeling a tingly feeling in your gut. You two broke apart and you smiled shyly. The game continued but you didn't pay attention. You looked at Matt, smiling shyly. "Um, _______, t-that was my first kiss" he said, blushing completely red. Your eyes widened. You had just taken someone's first kiss because of a stupid game. "But I really do like you _____. M-maybe that could be more than just a d-dare?" he asked, rushing his words so fast that you could barely understand. You smiled widely. "Of course" you said and while someone got dared to do something else, you and Matt leaned in again, kissing softly. Who knows. Maybe summer camp won't be all that bad.

We have the Canpfire song downloaded onto our car, so when it comes on, we all sing it.
I also liked Kiku's dare. That kid has some guts....
